  • What level of experience do participants need to have?
    • This training is good for all experience levels, from entry level to those with years of experience.
  • Is this training good for people before they take on a supervisory or management role?
    • The earlier one gets the training the better prepared they are to assume their new position.
  • What skill level or previous training is required?
    • No previous training is required.
    • There will be reading and writing, and some basic math.
    • We try very hard to make mentoring, coaching, consulting and seminars and workshops a safe place to talk and work through at whatever level they bring to the table.
  • What level of experience do participants need to have?
    • This training is good for all experience levels, from entry level to those with years of experience.
  • Is this training good for people before they take on a supervisory or management role?
    • The earlier one gets the training the better prepared they are to assume their new position.
  • Do custom or onsite training workshops cost more?
    • We work with you to minimize the impact on your budget and time.
    • Custom training seminars and workshops don’t necessarily cost more.
    • Onsite training done at your facilities is usually less expensive as there is little to no additional equipment or facilities costs, and can reduce printing and shipping costs.
    • To determine what your needs are we would like to have a no pressure, no sales phone call to ask questions. We aren’t a fit for everyone, but neither of us will know unless we talk.
  • Do you travel to us, or do we travel to you?
    • To save you time and money, we typically travel to your location and use your facilities, especially for the pre-training meeting.
    • We can arrange to do training offsite near you if that is better for you. In some cases companies either don’t have the facilities or want their employees to be free of distractions so that they can focus.
  • What kinds of facilities are needed to handle this training?
    • This depends on the number of participants. Usually a decent conference room with a projector and screen, and room to move around in, will work.
  • Do the managers of the managers and supervisors need to be in the classes?It is highly recommended but not required that participants bosses be involved.
    • This is primarily because the issues that managers and supervisors face will be be better understood by their bosses.
    • The bosses participation is also going to make the understanding of communications issues easier.
  • Will there be homework?
    • There isn’t ‘homework ‘ as such. In all cases there will be practical assignments using new or reinforced knowledge to be used on the job.
    • Some training will involve meeting with or gathering information from their peers and direct reports. Be assured that this is based on a practical method for determining what is important for their position.
